  2. A little unfair discriminating against compers who infact bring you traffic/hits, might want to check up on that.

  5. Think you are making a huge error eliminating people that enter competitions. I now read many blogs and buy from new small businesses I would have never known about, had it not been for my hobby. You would not be allowed to discriminate against any other group of people.

    2. I aprpeciate what you are saying, but if I enter, then I genuinely enter, as are many of the friends I have gained through entering competitions. You may be unaware, but competitions are regulated by the ASA and there are certain guidelines to follow. It just sends out the wrong impression and it is not about winning, but it is the principle of it. I may really enjoy your blog, and I am now a subscriber and follower of many blogs which I enjoy reading and contributing to. I have only discovered these through my hobby and now they are something I enjoy reading. You will also find many of your blogging friends enter many many competitions too, one of whom has commented above and wins a lot of competitions on twitter.

  6. I fall into the catagory of both blog reader and comper. I've deleted my entries. It's still not right when you will only allow us to enter some and not others. Bit like saying, "I like you but I don't like red cars and you have a red car so I'll only talk to you when I'm not in a red car." Nevermind.

  8. Hi Naomi, Having read your tweets, I completely understand you wanting to reward your regular blog readers with a prize. I hope you don't mind a few well meaning suggestions. 1) add something to the terms to specify that the prize is for those who have followed you for a minimum time, and don't include a Rafflecopter entry for signing up to your blog. 2) Explain why compers are excluded, as you did on Twitter, rather than just stating that we are. I don't think many would take offence if they understood that it wasn't because you have issues with us as a group. 3) I can't speak for all the comping groups, but with the Money Saving Expert competition forum, you can request that we add you to our exclusion list. I think this has now just been done for you. We would never knowingly post a competition where the person running it doesn't want us to. If it was innocently posted, someone is likely to notice fairly quickly, and ask for that comp to be removed. Finally, thank you for taking the trouble to explain. It shows that you are a kind person, who clearly has no intention of causing offence. With best wishes, Blulu X

    1. Hi Blulu,
Thank you so much for your kind and constructive comment. I'm glad that a few compers understand where I am coming from. In the future I will deffo take all of this into consideration. Because of all the comments made on here and twitter I have decided to let comp accounts enter, but I feel like I've been forced into doing this, even though it's my competition on my blog. But I really do appreciate your comment! Thank you for understanding and letting me know about money saving expert! xx
