Why, hello there...

So my last post was all about Poundworld own brands that resemble some big high street brands (check out that post here) and I'll be updating you with how well I've got on with those products soon.

But for todays post I'll be showing you what I got recently, including big name beauty brands and some other skincare/fragrance bits and pieces, so keep on reading to find a bargain!

Why, hello there...

So, from the title you can tell what this post is about, my very first giveaway! It's my 18th birthday next week so I thought I'd do a small giveaway, seen as though I've never done one before. 1. Primark 'Love my Boyfriend' white with black stripes t-shirt, £3.50. As I said in my last haul post, I'm really getting into basic t-shirts and this is just another It has the rolled up sleeves and it's just simple but pretty. I got it in a size 14 but I think I might go back and get a size 12 so it's more fitted.

2. Primark Red rope stakement necklace, £3. I've been after another statement necklace for a while as I only  really have 1 at the moment. I saw this one and I loved the colour and thought it was a really great design from primark, and it was only £3 which is amazing!

3. Miss Sport Fabulous lash Xtra black mascara, £1.99. I've been using my sample size They're Real from benefit for ages now and it's time that I bought a new mascara. This one was really cheap so I thought why not, hopefully do a review on it soon.

4. MUA Single eye shadow in Shade (Matte), £1. I haven't got many matte eyeshadows and this is just the perfect shade for an all-over-the-lid colour, particularly for spring/summer. For a pound you can't go wrong.

5. MUA Powder blush in Marshmallow, £1. Superdrug was doing 3 for 2 across all cosmetics so I got this for free. For some reason I've started using blusher, which I never normally do so I thought I would expand my collection. I looks really bright in the pan so I'll have to see how I get on with it!

6. Salon Selective refresh and revitalise dry shampoo. This is a re-purchase as I recently ran out of it. It's my all time favourite dry shampoo, I've done a full review here so make sure you check it out.

7. Maybelline Baby Lips - Soothing Cherry and Oxidising Berry. I am so happy I found these!! I got one a while ago from poundworld - the mango pie one - and I love it! I was going to stock up on that one but they only had these ones. These flavours are only available in Japan and have been mentioned by Ingrid from MissGalmorazzi in her Japan haul. The Soothing Cherry one is actually going to be in a giveaway soon so make sure you stay tuned for that!

8. NYC Blush Palette in psychedelic. This is another item I'm going to be putting in the giveaway! These are only available in america as far as I'm aware so it's a great find! They're such pretty colours as well so I thought you guys would love it.

9. Beauty Formulas Cleansing nose pore strips. I was going to get the ones from the Boots essentials range but never got round to it. I saw these on the shelf so I thought I might as well give them a try for only £1. I'll be doing a review of these soon.

10. Simply Cotton 120 Cotton pads. Just an essential.

Ok so firstly I used my concealer once again as a primer on the lid

and under my eye. Then I applied the bronzer all over my lid. Next I

put the essence eyeshadow in my crease and applied the black cream

eyeshadow to the outer corner. I blended everything in. I curled my

lashes and applied mascara. I think that the concealer is great as it

makes your makeup last longer and it helps when washing it off. For

the lips you could just use a lip balm! Thanks again to Naoimi for

Why, hello there...

MUA concealer, Natural, £1.50  /  NYC Concealer, Beige, £1 (pound shop) Both of these concealers are so so cheap, but both so brilliant. I've had the MUA one for quite a few months now and I've still got a bit left. I haven't had the NYC one for as long, but I've used it as my every day concealer since I got it. They both have their good points and not so good points, so lets get started! 1. The Applicator: The MUA one has an applicator similar to a lip gloss applicator so it's relatively small and doesn't pick up as much as the NYC one. The NYC one is a lot longer and more flexible which makes it really easy to apply.

2. Colour: I personally prefer my concealer to be a little bit lighter than my actual skin tone. This means it looks better on the dark areas around my eyes. The MUA one is a little bit lighter so it's great for around my eyes.

3. Formula: MUA's formula is a bit lighter than NYC's. I do like lighter formulas but it does mean that it doesn't have a very heavy coverage. It's great for spots or blemishes but NYC covers up my under-eye circles perfectly.

Why, hello there...

I haven't done much spending recently, so I thought I would take a quick look in the pound shop whilst passing through town. I could have spent quite a lot, but I restrained myself and only bought a few things. I have to say I'm quite happy with the things I did get!

Hopefully I'll be doing a review of some sort on all these products so look out for them soon! I first saw the NYC concealer and really wanted to try it. I tried looking for it on the superdrug website but I couldn't see it anywhere, so I'm guessing it's either discontinued but I've seen a few people comment on some things from poundland being only available in the US, so maybe that's the case. I've tested it out a few times and really like it so far, so look out for a review!

I've seen quite a few bloggers talk about w7 nail polish, so I was pretty happy to find this. Also It's a gorgeous metallic gold so it's perfect for autumn/winter/christmas time.

I've never tried nail wraps, even though I used to do quite a lot of nail art. I found these along with a bunch of other designs so I can't wait to try them and see what they're like!
