1. Daughter - Youth (Single) Daughter was brought to my attention by a few of my friends who said here style is something I would listen to and maybe cover. I've loved this single this year and also her whole album is brilliant. Human is also another great single by Daughter.

2. Jamie T - Sheila (single) Another great recommendation from a friend (thank you mr Josh Hucklesby). He also release a long awaited new album this year which has the new single Zombie on it and has another great song on it - Love is only a heartbeat away.

3. James Vincent McMorrow - Higher love (single) Again thank you josh for another fantastic recommendation. This is a fairly old song but he released a new album this year which I've been enjoying. Another fave song of his is We don't eat.

4. Leo James Conroy - My dear (single) I found Mr Conroy on Facebook or soundcloud, not sure which one came first! He has release his first EP which you can buy here. He has such an amazing voice so it would be super duper if you could support this up-and-coming artist! (He is not on the spotify playlist)

5. James Bay - Let it go (single) Fearne Cotton has been raving about James Bay recently, and he also performed as Burberry's live music for their cat walk at London's fashion week. I've been particularly enjoying this song as it's on my work's playlist that they play throughout the theatre so I've been loving hearing this!

6. Charlie Simpson - Long way home (Album) I loved Charlies debut album and I have to say, I think I'm a bigger fan of this new one! If you love folk/indie/acoustic music, this is definitely the one for you. Very different from his Busted days!

7. George Ezra - Wanted on Voyage (Album) Ever since I heard his very fist single Cassy 'O' on BBC introducing I've loved him ever since. I did try and get ticket to see him next year but they sold out so quick *sad face* but this album is probably my top one of the year!

8. Ed Sheeran - X (Album) Everybody loves a bit of Ed Sheeran. I'm a HUGE fan of his with all his old EP's so I was extremely excited for this new album. It's a little different from his previous albums but I still love it all the same.

9. 5 seconds of summer (Album) I love this album. So. Much. It's just the right amount of rock and pop and I love that they write and play all of their own songs, and they're the same age as me! Love them to bits.

Hope you've enjoyed this little insight into my music picks! Make sure you check out the spotify playlist here.

What's been your music picks from 2014?

Thanking you,

Why, hello there...

I have been sent some amazing goodies by smiggle, a stationary and accessories company based in Australia but are launching in the UK! They asked me to write a post using the products they provided so I thought I would give a guide for organising your blog!

To start off with, I received these lovely headphones which is perfect for me. I hate doing anything in silence, so I always have some music on when I'm writing a post or doing some work. (The music playing is Lauren Aquilina, I STRONGLY suggest that you check her out and pre-order her new EP!)

You'll need some essentials. A note book (this one is NOT from smiggle), a pencil, a ruler, and a rubber. I always write in pencil when doing stuff for my blog because it means I can change things about without it getting too messy or complicated. Also the ruler is to plan out your posts and make timetables.

This is how I plan my posts. I don't always use this method but when I do it's pretty helpful. I simply put the date I'm going to post, the actual post and then tick off whether I need to/have taken pictures for the post and drafted it. pretty simple and keeps everything organised!

This is the way I normally do my posts. I just write down all my post ideas and pick and choose which post I want to write that day. These highlighters from smiggle have come in handy because I can colour co-ordinate which posts need pictures taking and which don't so I always have a post ready (also these highlighters smell SO good!).

This is more for if you want to run a blog sale. I'm currently in the process of setting one up, and the key is to write everything down. I've wrote all my items down with the price I'm charging. When it's up and running, I will be writing down all the details of the customer, what they're purchasing, total cost e.c.t. Make sure you do write everything down otherwise something could go wrong and you won't have the necessary information!

This calculator is awesome.

These are all the main lists I have at the moment. It helps me keep track of different things such as how many empties I have so I know when I have enough to write a post e.c.t. Also make a list of generic posts that you can write if you're having writers block, this will come in very handy!

So that's all my tips for organising your blog! A massive thank you to Smiggle for providing me with all these lovely things! If you want to have a look at their stuff, check out their website here! The first of their UK stores to open is going to be at Westfield Stratford on 20th February. This will be followed by further store launches in Reading, Brighton and Kingston. If you live in any of these cities I would definitely recommend going to the launches, pick up some of their amazing stock!

How do you organise your blog, has this been helpful?

Thanking you,

Naomi

Why, hello there...

This isn't a beauty/fashion related blog post but seen as though this blog is about finding 'cheap' or free alternatives I thought I might as well share this little Gem with you!

I get a regular email from a website called Noisetrade:

This site is brilliant! It has loads of free EPs and Albums from under-the-radar musicians but also has some more popular stuff like Passenger and Matt Corby. The email newsletter is great because it gives you recommended artists and what kind of artist they're like so you have an idea of what kind of music they make. A lot of the music is indie/folk/acoustic/rock kind of style, so if you want to find some new, different music this is the site for you! Also artists can sign up and put their own music up onto the site!

Most of the music is free, but the site does give an option to 'tip' the artist for your purchase so you can give as little as a £1 for a whole album! But you don't have to if you don't want to.

I hope this is helpful to you! If you like these kind of posts let me know down in the comments! Also if you have any other websites or organisations you would like me to look at, leave a link in the comments.

What kind of music are you into? Have you ever used Noisetrade before?

Thanking you,

Naomi
