Why, hello there...

I was in the shopping centre 'The Bullring' in Birmingham last week before I went to see a gig so I popped into the pound shop because we all wanted some sweets for the journey back. And I found this: 

Calvin Klein! In the pound shop! I was pretty happy to see this, I didn't even know what product it was and just picked it up straight away and paid.

So it turns out it's their 'Tempting Glimmer sheer crème eyeshadow' in the colour Vinyl Black. When I first opened it I hadn't read the label on the back and thought that it was a gel eyeliner because of the was it was packaged. Also it feels very peculiar for an eyeshadow as it is more of a gel consistency. But when applying the swatch above it comes out as a really nice smokey black so it's not too cakey. I personally hardly ever wear black eyeshadow as it makes my undereyes look even darker, but I might have to have a go with this!

Why, hello there...

Again, I'm sorry I haven't been posting much recently. I've had a lot going on at school and it's been pretty stressful so I haven't had much time to plan posts and stuff, but I've made a bunch of draft posts so when I haven't got time to make one I have one that's pre-made and can post straight away. Anyway, on with the post!

So my last post showed you a nail varnish I bought from Body Care from a brand called 'technic' that was only £1 so I've decided to do a review on it!

The pictures make the polish look lighter than it actually is. On my nails I've put 2 coats as one coat came out quite pinky and a bit translucent, but 2 coats is perfect. The colour is so nice, especially now its autumn/winter time as it's such a warm colour. The name of this one is 'Magenta' but I think it's more red than pink with the 2 coats. 

Also applying it was great! some brushes I find really hard to use, such as Rimmel London as they have a particularly flat bottom to the brush, but this brush was just great for getting around the edges without going over the edge too much. 

I still have to see how long it lasts, but overall for only £1 it's fantastic! I would strongly recommend purchasing one!

Why, Hello there...

So, I haven't done an actual beauty post in a while so I thought I might as well show you the things I've bought recently. It's not a lot but I thought I would show you anyway.

I saw a blog post on this product somewhere (sorry, can't remember the blogger) saying that this was a great dupe for Bio-Oil. I got this from the Pound store which is great considering Bio-Oil normally costs about £5.99 for 60ml. I used to use it for my eczema because it's great at getting rid of scars, so I will let you know how well this dupe works!

I have wanted a Lip stain for so long, and I found this one in the clearance for only £2.49 down from £4.99! Unfortuantly I have no idea what the name/shade of this one is but it's a deep reddy pink which is really nice. Personally I don't tend to go for bright colours but wiping away the excess and just leaving the stain on has worked really well! Also I love just using the Balm by itself.

This is a new product for me. Because I get quite puff eyes and dark circles I've been using the Aveeno Eye brightening cream which I've recently ran out of. It was quite expesive though, so I thought I would try something different. So far so good! Being a Gel it's really refreshing and light, It doesn't smell to much of cucumber but just enough to be light and delicate. Hopefully this will do the trick!

Why, Hello there...

I've been really excited about this post! I went into town the other day and went into all the £1 or 99p stores. If you dont have these where you're from, basically everything in the shop is a pound. I've been in them before and seen some of these products before, but I found some new one which I was really excited about. This is what I got:

This first one isn' actually a 'big brand'. It's from a brand called Pink Tease and it's a black nail art pen. It has the nib bit at the top and the brush is long and thin, what you would expect from a nail art pen. The only problem I had when I first tried it was it came out a bit watery but I'm sure that will get less as I use it more. Normally nail art pens can be a lot, such as the Models Own pens, but this is a fantastic alternative!

This is the one I was most excited about. It's a Revlon Just Bitten kissable Balm Stain! They're normally £7.99 but this was only a pound! It's not the best colour for me (you can see it in the swatches below) as it comes out as quite a light pink. It's in the shade 035 Charm which I can't seem to find so maybe it's a discontinued shade or something? But its really nice and I think they may have had other shades in the shop which I shall look out for next time!

These are the Rimmel london Quad and Glam'eyes eye shadow. I really like the top colours, very autumn/fall appropriate! they also and a variety of these ones. The bottom colour I'm really not too keen on. I went to another £1 shop and they had loads more choice of these single eye shadows but I had already bought this one. The top one is normally £6.99 and the bottom one is £4.49.

This is another one I'm excited about. It's a Revlon nail polish in the colour 011 'Sheer Rose'. Again I don't know whether this is still available but it's such a pretty colour! Originally the Revlon nail polishes are £6.49.

And another great find! An O.P.I shatter nail Lacquer in 'Shatter the Scales' - Emerald Green. Can't find it again but they also had some other colours. Normally £11 (I think).

First 4 - Quad eye shadow, Blue - Glam'eyes, Pink - Relvon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain.

Hopefully now you can go out and find some bargains for yourself!
